Project Manager

Our Project Managers are experienced leaders in the specialized field of marine coatings application and marine preservation in the shipyard industry to run a project by establishing basic priorities, work sequences, proper distribution of work, and allotment of manpower, equipment and materials

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
    Identifies resources needed
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
  • Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards.
  • Identifies business development and revenue opportunities as they relate to a specific project
  • Facilitates team and client meetings effectively
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of ship repair, in particular, US Navy and US Navy preservation
  • Document all Condition Found Reports and any additional reports to the customer

Qualifications

  • BS in Business Administration or Project Management and 5 years of experience in the shipyard industry with at least 1 year in a supervisory role or A minimum of 10 years of experience in shipyard industry with at least 3 years as a Superintendent
  • Experience in dry docks and vessel inspections
    Computer skills in Microsoft Office Suites
  • Detail oriented
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA
  • Must be able to access government installations
  • Must pass an occupational physical, drug screen and respirator medical authorization test
  • Must be able to work any assigned shift and ability to work assigned overtime

Marine Coatings and Preservation Leader

Summary

Experienced leader in the specialized field of marine coatings application and marine preservation. Proficient in multiple disciplines within marine preservation, ensuring high-quality standards and efficient project execution.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understand and implement required quality standards per the scope of the work package
  • Oversee daily production of coatings projects
  • Identify and assign necessary personnel, equipment, and materials
  • Manage resource delivery schedules
  • Coordinate and manage shift scheduling
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to maintain project timelines
  • Schedule and oversee subcontractor activities
  • Maintain accurate daily production logs
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of marine coatings application, particularly within US Navy and Navy preservation standards

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the shipyard industry, including 3 years as a Foreman
  • Experience in dry docks and vessel inspections
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Authorized to work in the USA and able to access government installations
  • Physically capable of walking at least 2 miles daily, crawling in tight spaces, and climbing ladders/stairs without restriction
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds above head
  • Must pass an occupational physical, drug screen, and respirator medical authorization test
  • Available to work any assigned shift and overtime as required
  • OSHA 10 – Maritime certification (or willingness to obtain through company-paid training)

Individual experienced in the specialized field of marine coatings application and preservation, in the discipline of quality assurance and control

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees the quality requirements of one or more projects
  • Reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager
  • Actively participates in quality audits (internal and external)
  • Documents objective quality evidence on one or more projects
  • Maintains the required project quality and preservation records on one or more projects
  • Works with the Project Team to identify and determine conformance / non-conformance of the work accomplished
  • Schedule and accomplish hold point inspections (internal and external)
  • Ensure the required quality standards are met on one or more projects
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of marine coatings application, in particular, US Navy and US Navy preservation requirements

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the marine coatings industry
  • Must be AMPP (SSPC) NBPI or NACE Level 1 Certified
  • Possess thorough understanding of the quality assurance requirements within the ship repair, in particular, the US Navy
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA
  • Must be able to access government installations
  • Must be able to walk at least 2 miles daily, crawl in tight spaces, and climb ladders and stairs without restriction
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds above head

Individual experienced in the shipyard industry with a discipline in environmental, health and safety.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform evaluation and testing in various environments including but not limited to noise, illumination, atmospheric conditions (confined spaces), ensuring proper working environments are established and maintained
  • Work with the Project Team to identify and eliminate potential hazards
  • Evaluates and coordinates the requirement for Marine Chemist required inspections
  • Maintain records on inspections and tests
  • Evaluate and document EH&S conditions on one or more projects through daily inspections
  • Ensure all hazardous material documentation is submitted and maintained on one or more projects
  • Coordinate hazardous waste disposal with facilities
  • Provide training to small groups
    Actively participates in EH&S audits (internal and external)

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the shipyard industry
    24 Hour and 8 Hour Shipyard Competent Person training
  • Possess thorough understanding of the EH&S requirements within the ship repair, in particular, the US Navy
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA
  • Must be able to access government installations
  • Must be able to walk at least 2 miles daily, crawl in tight spaces, and climb ladders and stairs without restriction
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds above head
  • Must pass an occupational physical, drug screen and respirator medical authorization test

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Care and maintenance of spray painting PPE
  • Secondary duties shall be scaffold installation, surface preparation, industry equipment operation, containment installation, protective covering installation, marine carpentry, cleaning, or power tool operation

 

3rd Class

  • Set up and operate airless and conventional paint pumps
    Mixing and thinning all types of coatings as instructed in written specifications or work package
  • Assist a 1st or 2nd class with coating applications IAW with specifications in all areas; with the exception of areas that require the use of the plural component paint pump
  • Secondary duties shall be scaffold installation, surface preparation, industry equipment operation, containment installation, protective covering installation, marine carpentry, cleaning, or power tool operation
  • Ability to accomplish all duties and responsibilities of a “Brush and Roll Painter”

2nd Class

  • Responsible for coatings application IAW approved product data sheets and project specifications
  • Comply with NESHAP requirements
  • Complies with proper storage and precautions for paints and solvents
  • Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot airless and conventional paint pumps, hoses and lines
  • Proficient at spraying with conventional and airless paint pumps
  • Train subordinates
  • Clean-up and prepare paint pumps for stowage
  • Assist 1st class with coating applications IAW specifications in all areas
  • Ability to accomplish all duties and responsibilities of a “3rd Class Spray Painter”

1st Class

  • Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot plural component paint pumps, hoses and lines
  • Proficient at spraying with plural component paint pumps
    Supervise a small crew of Brush and Roll Painters
  • Ability to accomplish all duties and responsibilities of a “2nd Class Spray Painter”

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in marine coatings industry as a painter or accomplish the training requirements of a “Brush and Roll Painter” along with 2 years of experience

2nd Class

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marine coatings industry as a painter
  • Must have current AMPP (SSPC) C-12

1st Class

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in marine coatings industry as a painter
  • Must have current AMPP (SSPC) C-14

 

An individual in the specialized field of marine coatings application and preservation; in the discipline of surface preparation by way of either abrasive blasting or UHP water jetting.

Duties and Responsibilities


3rd Class

  • Able to set-up and run pressure wash equipment, hoses, and lines
  • Perform solvent cleaning (de-greasing)
    Able to set-up and operate
  • Blast pot or UHP gun (operate with assistance of 2nd Class)
  • Able to assist 2nd Class to blast areas
  • Secondary duties shall be scaffold installation, surface preparation, industry equipment operation, containment installation, protective covering installation, marine carpentry, cleaning, or power tool operation
  • Ability to accomplish all duties and responsibilities of a “Brush and Roll Painter”

2nd Class – Abrasive or UHP Water Jet

  • Ability to accomplish all duties and responsibilities of a 3rd Class
  • Train subordinates
  • Able to set-up equipment, hoses and lines
  • 40,000 psi UHP equipment or Abrasive blasting equipment
  • Able to operate equipment properly, safely, and effectively
  • IAW specifications
  • Closed loop / self-contained and open lance equipment or Abrasive blasting equipment
  • Complete all daily usage reporting paperwork
  • Comply with environmental requirements

1st Class – Abrasive or UHP Water Jet

  • Ability to accomplish all duties and responsibilities of a 2nd Class
  • Supervise a small crew
  • Able to troubleshoot and perform minor field repairs on the equipment
  • Train 2nd Class to troubleshoot and perform minor field repairs on equipment
  • Able to perform duties in a confined space when required

Qualifications

  • Must be authorized to work in the USA
  • Must be able to access government installations
  • Must be able to walk at least 2 miles daily, crawl in tight spaces, and climb ladders and stairs without restriction
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds above head
  • Must pass an occupational physical, drug screen and respirator medical authorization test
  • Must be able to work any assigned shift and ability to work assigned overtime
  • Create and maintain a hazard free work space
  • Must be able to care for and maintain any PPE assigned to accomplish work IAW with health and safety requirements
  • OSHA 10 – Maritime, willingness to obtain through company-paid training

3rd Class

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in marine coatings industry as a blaster or accomplish the requirements of a “Brush and Roll Painter” along with 2 years of experience
    2nd Class
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marine coatings industry as a blaster
  • Must have current AMPP (SSPC) C-7 or AMPP (SSPC) C-13
    1st Class
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in marine coatings industry as a blaster
